May, 2011 L&S Engineering is proud to have been involved with the new Military Entrance Processing Station in Airway Heights. The building recently was awarded a LEED Gold rating by the US Green Building Council. L&S Engineering was responsible for 27 of the 48 points achieved towards the gold rating. This building features a closed loop geothermal heat pump system where the outdoor loops were installed in a unique, two tiered arrangement, to minimize site area used. Very high efficiency heating and cooling equipment was used and ventilation air heat recovery was also utilized. The building is owned by NAI/Black, was designed by Wolfe Architectural Group, and built by Baker Construction.  Military Entrance Processing Station Airway Heights, WA |
