Our staff is the most valuable asset at L&S Engineering and the key to our success.

Our employees average 14 years of employment with L&S. This stability translates to continuity and consistency for our clients, and enables us to typically keep the same project team together throughout the duration of lengthy projects.

Paul Allison, P.E.

B.S. Mechanical Engineering from University of Wyoming

Paul has over 30 years experience with analysis and design of HVAC, piping, sewer and water distribution systems on diverse types of buildings and power plants. He is ICBO certified as a Commercial Energy Plans Examiner and served as an alternate on the Technical Advisory Group for the Mechanical and Ventilation Codes in the State of Washington.


Rachel Aritchita

Mechanical Design

Rachel joined our team in 2010 as a mechanical designer. Rachel is a 2006 graduate of Oregon Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. She previously worked for Monterey Energy Group of Pacific Grove, California as a mechanical designer.


Lisa Burke

Office and Marketing Manager

Lisa has her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gonzaga University. Lisa joined the L&S team in 2010 bringing experience in management, training, and marketing.

She enjoys hiking, cooking, sewing, camping, dancing, classic cars, and going to sporting events.

Patrick Ferrara
Mechanical Department
CAD Technician

Patrick holds an AAS-AD degree and has been a drafter for L&S since 1979.


Jacob Goodman

Mechanical Department

Jacob was born and raised in Upper Saddle River, NJ
He has a BS Degree in Mathematics and Economics (2005) from Vasser College, Poughkeepsie, NY and a BE Degree in Electrical Engineering (2006) from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Jacob is also a LEED Accredited Professional.


Nathan Hauber

Electrical Department
Electrical Design

Nathan holds two degrees, Bachelor of Science in Electronics Technology from Eastern and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University, and worked for Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories as a Software Engineer Intern. Nathan assisted in the design of the new Spokane Eye Clinic South, a large warehouse in the Spokane Valley, and the HVAC upgrade at Eastern’s Showalter Hall in Cheney. He has completed a REVIT building information modeling program at SCC.

He likes to stay active, almost anything outdoors interests him: biking, basketball, swimming, sledding, go-carts. Indoors, you might find him at laserquest, paintball, bowling or playing pool, sometimes slowing down long enough to watch a Cougar football game or to enjoy a good movie with friends.

Ryan joined L&S in 2010 after earning his AA degree and is a skilled drafter with expertise in both AutoCAD and Revit.

Rose has been an integral member of the L&S team since 2005.

Steve has been a mechanical designer with L&S since 1984.

Arron Thompson

Mechanical Department
Mechanical Design

Arron is a 2007 graduate of Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. In 2007, he studied REVIT building information modeling at SCC. In addition to HVAC and plumbing design of the UPS facility at Spokane International Airport, his projects include computer modeling for Energy Life Cycle Costs of schools and assisting with the commissioning process at the Fox Theater.

Arron trained at the Naval Welding and Damage Control school in Philadelphia and was stationed in Pearl Harbor, where he repaired submarine hulls and interior piping.

Back on dry land, his passion is restoring old Toyota Land Cruiser wagons, growing giant pumpkins and spicy peppers in his garden, and racing radio controlled cars with his sons. He enjoys fishing and camping with his family and manages to fit in some mountain biking and hiking on these expeditions.


David Wordinger
Electrical Department
Electrical Design

Dave retired from the United States Air Force as a Major. He served as an Electronic Warfare Officer, managing system level tests for radar, jammers and missiles. At L&S Engineering, Dave has been applying this background to the design and construction of electrical systems for buildings. Dave attained professional LEED accreditation with the US Green Building Council in 2004 and applies this expertise in his designs and commissioning projects.
